Come away with me?

Many of us have been experiencing the call from Jesus to go a little bit deeper. Many have fought battles that have left them tired and weary in this last season. Hurt, complacency, burnout, fear and many other factors have kept so many women away from a place of experiencing the sweet presence of Jesus.
Today, I simply want to invite you to hear something I believe Jesus wants to speak to all who have become tired and weary: "Come away with me?"
"Come with me from Lebanon, my bride;
come with me from Lebanon.
Depart from the peak of Amana,
from the peak of Senir and Hermon,
from the dens of lions,
from the mountains of leopards."
Song of Solomon 4:8.
I so deeply feel that this word is for those who have felt stuck in their past season and have struggled to leave the past behind. He is calling us to leave behind places in our hearts where He has not been the focus. Places we go within ourselves to not be with Him. Places where we have been stuck, feeling surrounded and like there is no way out. Places where we have made idols for ourselves. Idols of pain and the feeling of abandonment.
This is how Job felt too. Lost and abandoned, like God had left him alone and forsaken him.
I want to encourage you. You are not lost or forgotten and Jesus has not taken His eyes off you. He is calling you to a deeper place of intimacy and joy in Him. The path you have walked has been rocky and if you feel like you have fallen, take heart for you have fallen into His arms of grace.
This season that is in front of you He will call you to greater things. You will take the step into what He has promised for a long time. But, seek Him first. The call is to come away with Him. Surrender your heart and your hurt. Allow Him to help you leave the past behind and press into the wonderful things still to come!
Run from the desert place into His arms. He is waiting for you.
